• 10’0″ Starboard Whopper

$1,729.00

The legendary Whopper set the benchmark by being the first board to go wide at 34″, at the time it was shocking, but now it’s considered the norm. The Whopper leads the way in easy, fun, performance. A board that’s incredibly stable yet defies its dimensions with effortless trim and dynamic turning abilities.

Using a forward V in the stance area, promoting rail-to-rail reactivity, running to a single concave that accelerates the water through the back of the board, to a V off the tail. Generous nose kick makes pearling close to impossible. The ultimate family all rounder.

“Mono-concave to flat middle to V”

• 11’2″ Avanti

$1,249.00

What was already a very agile board for its grandiose dimensions, has become even more nimble with modifications to its bottom shape. Mirroring the improvements to its stable-mate “the Whopper”, the Avanti developed a heavier V with double concave through the middle of the board enhancing rail-to-rail reactivity and straight line speed. This feeds into a mono-concave tail to accelerate water for increased speed, while also enhancing turning from the back of the board.

Even more so than before, the new Avanti is the ultimate big boy’s board for getting out into the waves with easier fun to be had.

“Mono-double concave to tail concave.”

The new sport of Foiling is here and we quickly realized that to be comfortable, and also get the most performance out of our foils we needed a new board specifically designed with ONLY foiling in mind. These short lengths allow for much better performance, maneuverability, and glide once on foil and the extra width through the full outline of the board, especially the tail, gives you incredible stability, paddling and tracking for these short boards.

The rocker line was also designed with stability, tracking, and paddle speed in mind but also to not “stick” in the nose when coming down from the foil. The tail rocker is also very important in giving you that initial “pop” and water release to effortlessly get up on foil. We were very lucky to work with Alex Aguera from Go Foil who helped us with the testing/development of these boards and gave us expert knowledge on optimum tuttle box placement as well as ideal stance and foot placement.

Generally a lighter board will allow you to glide longer on foil which makes our Signature and Carbon Sandwich constructions the perfect match for these boards to keep them very light weight while giving maximum strength and reinforcement for the tuttle box. The deckpad has a center line as well as two horizontal lines for riders to get an accurate and quick visual reference for foot placement for riding without straps. Board has 5 different insert options for foot strap location and comes with foot straps.

The Tom Carroll Paddle Surf (TCPS) Long Grain V2 stand up paddle board (SUP) is inspired by TC’s love of classic longboard style surf SUPing. This popular model received some minor design modifications, making this popular SUP a true leader within this style of riding.

OVERVIEW: A shift in volume placement, bottom curves, and a broader nose outline offers more effective riding from tip trimming to tail stall turns and pivoting. All the while adding stronger lightweight construction methods.

DESIGN: The wide point has been brought forward creating a broader nose and narrower water exit zone, especially at 12″ – 24″ up from tail. Longer more parallel rail line improves trimming from nose to just beyond halfway, where turning curves begin flowing into a clean round tail offering easy opportunity for change in direction.

CONTOURS: We maintain the original chine rail and displacement bottom contours, with some very subtle adjustments to the concave depths in the entry and through the relaxed central paddle zone to offer less resistance under paddle power. Slight increase in tail rocker offers swift access to tighter curves in the pocket of the wave. This combination of bottom contours allows water to travel easily under the large surface area while reducing slapping and sticking.

ROCKER: Lower entry rocker and increased tail rocker both creates simpler glide into unbroken waves, then once we step back its easier to engage tighter turns off the tail area.

PERFORMANCE: We bring three sizes into the Long Grain V2 range via co-designer Blane Chambers’ inspired marriage of chine rail and hydrodynamic hull. This effectively reduces rail volume for ease of engagement when moving from rail to rail, while delivering an underlying feeling of manageable sensitivity. Now working with the lighter, more responsive and durable Carbon Fusion (CX) Construction offers the rider stable paddle glide, controlled wave trim from nose to mid-section, with tighter changes of direction from the tail.

FIN RECOMMENDATONS: FCS II 8″ or 9″ Whip centre fin with FCS II TC SUP Quad rears as side bites. (Centre fin size synced with your own body size, I’m 70kgs – 150lbs and love the 8″ Whip)

The Tom Carroll Paddle Surf (TCPS) Loose Leaf V2 stand up paddleboard (SUP) sits within our range for the paddle surfer looking for uninterrupted glide and speed, without compromising manoeuvrability within a more compact design.

OVERVIEW: Loose Leaf V2 is a strenuously researched upgrade to it’s predecessor, offering subtle shifts in volume placement, bottom curves and outline while adding stronger lightweight construction methods.

DESIGN: The wide point has been brought incrementally forward creating a broader nose and narrower tail plan shape, especially at 12″ – 24″ up from the tail. This coupled with a classic forward foil thickness enables increased stability around the relaxed central paddle zone, then step back to manoeuvre with direct response over the deep double concave vee bottom, and a narrower tail.

CONTOURS: We maintain the original chine rail and displacement bottom contours, with some very subtle adjustments to the concave depths to offer a touch more displacement and better control when transitioning between turns. This combination of bottom curves allows water to travel easily under the large surface area while reducing slapping and sticking.

ROCKER: Lower entry rocker and increased tail rocker both creates simpler glide into unbroken waves, then once we step back its easier to engage tighter turns off the tail area.

PERFORMANCE: We bring four sizes into the Loose Lleaf V2 range via co-designer Blane Chambers’ inspired marriage of chine rail and hydrodynamic hull. • Magic SUP Foil Board

$2,199.00

$2,199.00 – $2,299.00

The aim here was to create two sizes of SUP boards designed to take-off on average or poor quality waves, whatever their sizes.
This was a golden opportunity to start from a blank page and make no compromises. We wanted to achieve take-off as early as possible and then gain enough speed on the wave to lift off and foil.
On the two MAGIC sizes, 8’6 and 9’6, the entire shape has been thought towards foiling. Outline, rocker, volume distribution, box locations and feet positions, everything is made to get you up on the foil. This is something totally new.

These boards are quite long and narrow to allow for a better take-off on outside reef waves which are less powerful.

Being slightly longer, the 9’6 will allow easier take-offs.

Important note: it is possible to surf less powerful waves with a foil with an amazing feeling but the foil does not enable an earlier take-off. It is therefore important to choose correctly the size of the board depending on the wave to be surfed.

• Noosa

$1,629.00

$1,629.00 – $1,799.00

Stand Up Paddling Longboard style:
For the last few years the trend has been shifting towards riding shorter and shorter boards which have got wider to maintain both volume and stability. But is this the only trend to follow?

Surfing offers such a diversity of shapes so why not adopt the longboard style for SUP boards? Not only is this the original shape which inspired the first and early SUP boards, but it also offers some noticeable advantages.

Length offers both speed and glide, especially when combined to a narrower width, and this greatly improves the take-off. The moderate beam also ensures the board is easy to set on the rail, providing a nice acceleration once on the wave.

The rocker of the board has received a lot of attention to make sure the board glides well using her bottom but also remains maneuverable when it’s being steered from the back when surfing. The NOOSA is particularly impressive in its maneuverability and ease of use when you consider its actual length.

The surprising aspect of this shape is that it will let you surf small waves thanks to its genuine speed, but also some larger ones since you can dig the rail and stay in complete control. Take-off on larger waves is also made easier by its paddling speed.

This board has a great gliding feel and will let you perform some nose tricks with its timeless longboard look.

The Tom Carroll Paddle Surf (TCPS) Outer Reef X2 Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) draws from the advanced hydrodynamic design features of the original Loose Leaf and Long Grain models applied to a more accessible and affordable range equally suited to flat-water and the surf.

OVERVIEW: Built in a very strong and versatile construction, the Outer Reef SUP offers additional volume all round, and sizes to cover the discerning recreational SUP paddler in the beginner-to-intermediate class.

DESIGN: Born from a focus on speed and paddle power to ride the outer reefs of Oahu’s North Shore with ease. The complex, but highly effective bottom contours that feature across TCPS SUP’s have been softened on the Outer Reef to provide efficient water flow over a large surface area, and offer high volume stability without sacrificing flow or paddle efficiency.

CONTOURS: The deep double concave displacement hull allows free flowing water movement through the underside of the nose while also reducing slapping. Subtle concave through the centre leads into a pronounced spiral vee out the tail which provides ample turning capabilities and prevents rail-to-rail sticking, especially in uneven, choppy conditions and when driving through unpredictable wave zones. A slight bevel on the underside of the rail enhances trim sensitivity on the wave face.

ROCKER: A more relaxed rocker on the Outer Reef offers exceptional flow on flat-water and entry speed onto waves, while still encouraging smooth turning arcs from the sweet spot position. The rocker has also been designed to allow freedom of movement from the back turning zone right up to the nose.

FINS: 2 1 set up comes with FCS II GL side bites which add maneuverability and control when riding waves, and a custom 9″ TCPS single fin that’s big enough to offer an efficient flat-water stroke rate, while still allowing for easy turning. Tom prefers to set the centre fin forward in the box to keep the tail free and loose.

PERFORMANCE: Available in 4 sizes, the TCPS Outer Reef utilizes technical design elements to increase flat-water paddling speed and enhance wave riding response. Fast, stable, yet sensitive to the rider, the Outer Reef SUP is considered a user-friendly model that offers a positive and connected feel to the ocean, be it on the open water or sliding down the face of a wave.

• Papenoo

$1,569.00

$1,569.00 – $1,639.00

The PAPENOO models can be classified as “short SUP” with a focus on speed, acceleration and maneuverability to rip off smaller waves like never before!

The initial target was to design a board as short as possible to gain in maneuverability and agility. A rectangular outline proved the right solution to keep enough hull area and volume for stability. We have also worked with a lot of attention on the glide of these boards. The shape of PAPENOOfeatures a genuine planning hull which is both efficient and enjoyable to ride.

SHAPE / DESIGN :
With its rectangular outline, we have been able to keep enough volume while maintaining a reasonable width. It’s useless to make very wide boards which wouldn’t have the ability to take on speed.

For a given width the PAPENOO are slightly longer than most of the similar type boards and this was made to ensure a good paddling speed and a super easy take off. The rocker line is tailored for this short shape which resulted in straighter lines to get the speed while maneuverability is provided by the reduced length.

Board thickness remains quite standard to keep some good control. The specificity of this shape comes from its hull which features a deep single concave running from the front third of the board all the way to the tail, with a flat on each side. These lateral flats are tilted into a V shape at the front of the board to soften the entry into the curves. The wide tail has pushed for a Quattro fin setup to keep the fins on each side of the single concave and close to the rails.

SURFING :
Thanks to this new, short outline, you can select a board which is ½ foot shorter than your usual length and still have a board which is impressively stable. You can even drop the width by 1 inch from your usual standard to get a more lively board. At the take off, you’ll be surprised by its ability to catch very small waves. The PAPENOO is made for waves between 0.40 and 1.50 m.

This original shape then needs to be driven correctly: the board quickly takes on speed providing a distinctive feeling of gliding over the water. Once at speed, the board can be surfed softly, as if it was sitting on an air cushion, and will perform any maneuvers without requiring brutal inputs from the rider. Supple steering is more appropriate than forcing the rails into the water.

Very surprising by its maneuverability and its planning sensations, this board is a real booster for your surf.
The testimonials are clear: anyone who has tried it has improved his surfing level.

The BAMBOO DECK construction has been proven for many years of production and offer a weight to resistance ratio with great reliability. The deck features a layer of bamboo to provide a tough impact and crushing resistance while the many layers of reinforcement on the bottom ensures solid strength.

These boards feature an amazing strength to weight ratio and remain amongst the highest performing and lightest boards on the market.

• Papenoo Pro Convertible SUP Foil Board

$1,699.00

$1,699.00 – $2,299.00

These boards are designed to be fitted with an SUP foil.

Its planing hull is ideal to get up to speed and facilitates the transition between the surfing phase and flying phase. Its compact shape also naturally provides the right balance over the foil and makes it more maneuverable in flight. Its wide outline at the tail allows the rider to be in the right position for lift off while the generous width provides a lot of stability.

It is also a fantastic board to learn how to foil towing behind a boat. It just needs the rider to be standing up with their feet in the correct position to get going, no need to waterstart. Just let the boat reach the required speed and you can trigger the flight!

Construction:
Weight is important to facilitate lift off. The PAPENOO SUP-Foil convertible is therefore available in full carbon construction only to make it as light as possible. The area around the foil box insert has been specifically reinforced to endure the high loads.

• Quatro Glide

$1,450.00

Glide Ast
All-Around Thruster

The all new Glide Ast is identical to the Glide Pro except for it’s construction. The new Glide brings along two bigger sizes that are more surf oriented. Just like the Pro version, the Ast features the ISDTM which works slightly against the convex deck dome, offering a more solid stance.

The nose rocker has a lower entry for ease of paddling and a very constant glide, hence the name. The bottom transitions from single to double to vee for an agile and maneuverable board. All Glide models come with a raised tail kick for added grip when riding waves. We consciously do not use a carbon deck on the Glide because it would result in too stiff a board for Sup surfing and inhibit much desired flex and pop.

Available in 110, 120, 130, 145, 160, 190, 220 liters.

Available in neon blue on white.

Glide Pro Carbon – $1,995
All-Around Thruster

Keith on the Glide: “My idea for the Glide was to create something easy, stable and fast to paddle, yet it was supposed to shine with maneuverability.

This board comes with solid rockers and full outlines, giving it a completely different level of stability and comfort, greatly enhanced by ISDTM (Integrated Stability Deck), which serves as an ergonomic stance platform. To me the Glide is the go to board for cruising and small waves. This is the Sup that my wife and me grab and go to the south side, throw our dog onboard and ride the fun waves.”

The deck consists of a generous diamond grove Quatro pad covering both your paddling and surfing stance for added comfort, while leaving the nose and rails bare to save weight for improved performance.

Available in 110, 120, 130, 145, 160, 190, 220 liters.

This tested bottom curve does not ever “stick” or “catch” up front while on a glide or getting into a glide. This unique bottom shape starts with a “V” in the nose that separates the water entry for zero drag and flows into a double concave which gives the board lift and direction then flows into a “V” in the back for effortless rail to rail responsiveness.
