We’ve all seen the incredible videos of surfers on foils catching endless waves and then 'pumping' back out to catch the next wave without even paddling.

Learning to surf on a foil takes the exhilaration of surfing to the next level. The ability to pump back out and catch a wave immediately after the previous one is a dream come true for every surfer. Our Pumping and Surfing Hydrofoil Lesson makes that dream a reality. Using our specialized boat, we train you to ride waves on a foil and master the art of pumping, enabling you to catch wave after wave.

Lesson Duration: 2 hours

• Rider Level: Must be proficient in foil riding basics, intermediate to advanced riders also encouraged to dial in their skillset
• Recommendation: Multiple lessons for quickest progression
• Equipment Supplied: Client provides foil equipment and wetsuit, Covewater supplies rest of the gear
• Specialized Equipment: We provide helmets with 2-way communication for providing on demand coaching and instructions.
• Location: Meet at Santa Cruz Harbor, with lessons taking place outside the harbor south of Santa Cruz Wharf
• Conditions: Scheduling based on weather conditions and scheduled during the mornings for calmer water conditions.
