The Blackbird Skinny is significantly lighter, thanks to a major evolution of its full-carbon construction. Less mass means less inertia with every paddle stroke, more responsiveness when pumping — ideal for long downwind sessions.

Following the success of the V3, AFS ADVANCED is taking another step forward with a fourth version that offers improvements across the board: better glide, earlier takeoff, reduced weight, and greater forgiveness.
These changes are the result of in-depth work on the shape: a tapered tail, a redesigned rocker, an optimized outline, improved volume distribution, and a more pronounced double concave.
As downwind sailing has become more established, we have focused our R&D on a range of four sizes—available in two lengths and two widths—to accommodate all sailing conditions and body types.
